March 1, 2023 – Launch of the 3nd Annual Amicitia Art Competition.

March 19, 2023 – The National Day of Remembrance and Recollection in Memory of the Civilian and Military Victims of the Algerian War and the Fighting in Tunisia and Morocco (National ceremony). 2023 commemorates the 61st anniversary of the Algerian War.


The Amicitia France-Canada Monument has been nominated for the Prix de l'horizon franco-ontarien awarded by the Assemblée de la francophonie de l'Ontario (AFO).

Christophe Raisonnier has been named Knight of the National Order of the Legion of Honour.

The monument

AMICITIA France-Canada is the national monument that is erected in Ottawa at the Beechwood National Cemetery to recognize more than four centuries of shared history and heritage and over 90 years of official diplomatic relations between France and Canada.

Beyond the timeless memorial, Amicitia wants to entrust to future generations, through their civic engagement, the mission of keeping alive our unique fraternal friendship between France and Canada.
