November 5-11 ,2023 – Each year leading up to Remembrance Day on November 11, we honor those who have served Canada in times of war, military conflict and peace.

November 6, 2023 – 5th annual Remembrance Day ceremony for the French community, Amicitia France-Canada Monument, Ottawa – the Sunday before 11 November.

 

November 11, 2023 – The commemoration of the Armistice of 11 November 1918 and the tribute paid to all the dead for France.

November 11, 2023 – National Remembrance Day Ceremony, 10:45 a.m. – National War Memorial,

Ottawa.

 

November 11, 2023Annual Remembrance Day Service, 10:30 a.m. – National Military Cemetery at Beechwood Cemetery, Ottawa.

Dr André M. Levesque appointed to the Order of Ontario.

The Amicitia France-Canada Monument has been nominated for the Prix de l'horizon franco-ontarien awarded by the Assemblée de la francophonie de l'Ontario (AFO).

Christophe Raisonnier has been named Knight of the National Order of the Legion of Honour.

The monument

AMICITIA France-Canada is the national monument that is erected in Ottawa at the Beechwood National Cemetery to recognize more than four centuries of shared history and heritage and over 90 years of official diplomatic relations between France and Canada.

​

Beyond the timeless memorial, Amicitia wants to entrust to future generations, through their civic engagement, the mission of keeping alive our unique fraternal friendship between France and Canada.
